xQc, the online handle of Felix Lengyel (born November 12, 1995, in Laval, Quebec, Canada), is a Canadian livestreamer and former professional Overwatch player. He began streaming on Twitch around 2014 and competed professionally in Overwatch from 2016, representing Team Canada at the Overwatch World Cup and playing for the Dallas Fuel in the inaugural Overwatch League season before his 2018 release. Early life and Overwatch careeredit

Lengyel was born on November 12, 1995, in Laval, Quebec, Canada, and is of Hungarian descent. He began streaming on Twitch at age 19, initially playing League of Legends under the name 'xQcLoL' before switching to Overwatch and the alias 'xQcOW'. In October 2016 he was recruited by Denial Esports. In 2017 he competed in Overwatch Contenders Season Zero with the team Arc 6 and represented Team Canada at the 2017 Overwatch World Cup, reaching the finals and winning an MVP award as a standout tank player.

Overwatch League and Dallas Fueledit

In October 2017, Lengyel joined the Dallas Fuel for the inaugural Overwatch League season. His tenure was marked by disciplinary issues: a 72-hour suspension in November 2017 for misusing the reporting system and a seven-day suspension in December 2017 for throwing games. After making homophobic remarks toward player Austin 'Muma' Wilmot in January 2018, he was fined $2,000 and suspended. In March 2018 he was fined $4,000 and suspended four matches for using a racially disparaging emote, and was released from the Dallas Fuel on March 11, 2018. He continued to represent Team Canada at the 2018 and 2019 Overwatch World Cups.

In February 2019, Lengyel joined the esports organization Sentinels as a content creator, and by May 2019 had emerged as a prominent variety streamer on Twitch. In March 2020 he began playing chess on stream, was mentored by grandmaster Hikaru Nakamura, and competed in Chess.com's PogChamps tournament in June 2020, where he lost to Ludwig Ahgren in the consolation bracket semifinals. He parted ways with Sentinels in August 2020 and joined Luminosity Gaming on October 1, 2020, remaining with that organization until January 2023.

Twitch viewershipedit

Lengyel became one of Twitch's most-watched streamers, accumulating roughly 8 million watch hours in December 2019 and over 174 million hours in 2020. He was the platform's most-watched streamer for three consecutive years, from 2020 to 2022, with 163 million hours watched in 2021. During the April 2022 Reddit r/place event he reached peak concurrent viewerships exceeding 293,000. An October 2021 data leak indicated he had earned more than $8 million on Twitch since 2019. Lengyel has received multiple Twitch suspensions, including bans in July 2019 and February 2020 for streaming explicit content and a June 2020 ban after accidentally showing an inappropriate video. In November 2020 he was banned for seven days and barred from Twitch Rivals for six months after stream sniping during a Fall Guys event, forfeiting his winnings. In 2021 he moved back to Canada following swatting incidents, and reported receiving death threats during the April 2022 r/place event.

Personal lifeedit

Lengyel was in a relationship with streamer Samantha Lopez (known online as 'adeptthebest') from around 2017 to 2022. Their separation led to legal disputes, including a case filed by Lopez in August 2023; Lengyel stated in December 2023 that he had prevailed in the proceedings.
