David Cánovas Martínez (born 24 April 1997), known online as TheGrefg, is a Spanish streamer and YouTuber from Alhama de Murcia. He began his YouTube channel on 30 January 2012 and became one of Spain's most prominent gaming creators, known primarily for Fortnite content. On 11 January 2021 he set a then-world record for peak concurrent viewership on Twitch, drawing 2,468,668 simultaneous viewers during the live reveal of his own Fortnite cosmetic outfit designed by Epic Games. As of October 2024 he had 19.6 million YouTube subscribers and 12.3 million Twitch followers.

TheGrefg was born David Cánovas Martínez on 24 April 1997 in Alhama de Murcia, in the Region of Murcia, Spain. He started his YouTube channel on 30 January 2012 at the age of 14, and over the following years built one of the largest Spanish-language gaming audiences on the platform. In 2018 he relocated to Andorra, a move widely reported as being for tax purposes.
Fortnite outfit and viewership recordedit
In January 2020, Epic Games announced a Fortnite cosmetic outfit based on TheGrefg. On 11 January 2021 he live-streamed the presentation of the outfit on Twitch, reaching a peak concurrent viewership of 2,468,668 simultaneous viewers, a world record at the time. The record was later surpassed in 2022 by fellow Spanish streamer Ibai Llanos, who drew roughly 3.3 million viewers.

TheGrefg's content centres on gaming, with a particular focus on Fortnite. He has also produced Minecraft content, including a series titled 'Calvaland.' As of October 2024 his YouTube channel had accumulated approximately 7.4 billion views across 19.6 million subscribers, alongside 12.3 million followers on Twitch and 337,000 on Kick.

He co-presented the reality competition Top Gamers Academy and organizes the ESLAND Awards, an annual Spanish-language streaming awards ceremony, which he hosted in January 2022. TheGrefg's real estate company, Grefito SLU, attempted to evict an 80-year-old tenant from a building it owned. The company lost the resulting trial, and the building was subsequently listed for sale in 2024.
